A couple of Christmas songs from the Pugtones.

We've recorded two original Christmas tunes over the years. The first one is Snow Dreams which features Warren's sister Eva singing. The second song, Mary Christmas, Verry Well, is a bit older - probably 7 or 8 years old now. The name of the song is a twist using my mothers name - Mary. Warren sang on this one and his wife Ruth can be heard speaking in the middle portion of the tune.

Merry Christmas to all - and thank you for taking a listen.

I really like the panned guitars on Mary christmas.  That's something that's never occurred to me.  Especially when they play different lines (counterpoint).  I wonder if anyone's done Bach's inventions that way..each hand panned right and left.  That'd be queer.

Thanks EPH!  Mark sent the music for MARY and asked if I could do any vocals.  I was actually in the mood for Christmas and was quite happy with the lyrics and vocals and Ruth's narration.  Then, a couple years later he sent the music for Snow Dreams.  That music really hit me so I wrote of our childhood and Eva sang it so well.  She tears up every time she plays it.  They are both a couple of my fav Pugtone tunes.
Now, I can't wait to listen to the forum tunes.  I am closing my website store and have no live gigs for the next week or more.  A few days of just listening.  I look forward to that.  Thanks for listening!!

Daryl and Elizabeth, Merry Christmas to you guys.  Thanks for commenting on our song.  Each Christmas gets more precious as I realize how many have passed.  I hope you have true joy!
