Already with the Nov. 2016 update it was not possible for me to make a shortcut for marker. As well it is not possible with the Behringer X-Touch and also not with "M". "Project -> Insert Marker" is somehow broken. Also the "add track" dialog is randomly poping up. I have already reported this weeks ago in this forum. I think that only a few users have this problems. But I have this problem on several computers.

Insert Marker is not working from Control Surfaces for everyone, but for most people it is working with M. I remember I had issues with Record Arm from surfaces, but I can not reproduce now... may be I just forgot how.

Hey Thornton, It looks like this broke related to recent changes when we added menu items for Add / Remove marker. We have escalated the priority of this issue and hope to have it fixed in an update soon.

I just lost the ability to insert marker with any key binding. "M" does not work and other bindings to "insert marker" do not either I recently updated my Sonar Platinum to the current build. HELP! I sometimes need to insert markers "on the fly". I can insert them from the Insert Marker dialog but not thru key binding. PLEASE HELP.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. SONAR Platinum 64bit, Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Polywell Core i7 x98 3.33GHz, 24GB RAM

Has any progress been made on this issue? I still use the VS-100 as my primary audio device and control surface. I don't use every function all the time; but the ability to drop in markers is one of the better features of the device. I would hope that Cakewalks is committed to supporting these devices going forward. I have gone with first the periodic updates and now with the rolling updates and have been a loyal customer since ProAudio 9. The brief flirtation Cakewalk had with selling hardware while a part of Roland may have been a brief period in the company's history; but I invested quite a bit in the VS-100 and I hope Cakewalk will make whatever firmware-driver or key binding adjustments to keep this useful device functioning. Thanks in advance.

For anyone whom may run in to this issue check under keyboard shortcuts ("type of keys" make sure the enabled box is not checked) Thank God. still on hold for the marker, but cake says fix should be in January.
