Which version of Sonar? I think in the installation dialog (after you have started the installation in command center) there is a query on 32 bit or 64 bit. If you select 32 bit it will update the x86 version.

Enable the Verbose option in Command Center settings. This will give you the prompts for options during install

I'm using platinum lifetime updates,. I installed it last year, march, and it did offer a switch back then, but now I do not see any switch to change to x86, 32 bit,. I have x86 installed and 64 bit installed,. only the 64 bit version has been updated since I started doing updates. some of my plugins wont work using 64 bit and I have been using 32 bit version with out the updates the 32 bit version has troubles as it is older from march last year and has never been updated. no troubles using the updated 64 bit version very good. I've been using SONAR for about 9 or 10 years now., don't care much for the new style online installer. However, I'm sure money and income of money motivating the change, seeing how as everybody is honorable. almost everybody that has received the boxed version in way far away places. saved me some good money on lifetime updates which I paid for a few months ago., hardly paid for, many millions or dollars in r + d invested, as well as school and many lifetimes,. could be billions if you go back to the sources years ago and convert to todays dollar value. I really like the sound of it,. good mixing with prochannel and the eq with the frequency analyzer displayed in the background, only it doesn't go low enuf in dB, like to see neg 145dB, to see very low levels. very very nice as it is now good for everything except checking out the bottom end, old analyst can handle that with far less resolution. so I don't see any way of changing to verbose on command center. and hitting f1 doesn't bring up help. Later friend, Wayne

Goto the gear in the upper right hand corner of command center. It is the settings button. There will be a checkbox to select verbose installation. Make sure it is checked.

I tried hitting install after turning on verbose under settings of command center, I did not see any option to select x86 and command center seemed to be running thru a 4 hour install of 64 bit version again , l just updated last nite and it took at least 4 hours to complete,. I have a fast connection, tethering cable running at a couple of hundred kilo bits per second,. fast considering it is a radio teletype and telephone circuit. Just now was going as fast as I have ever seen,.very unusual too,. 100,000 bytes per second to 150,000 bytes per second. so rather then wait another 4 hours to see what happens I exited and I'm now going to try reboot and see if that helps thanks for your input friends,. I haven't given up (yet Wayne

I have found that after installing Sonar x64 via the Command Centre, the option to install Sonar x32 disappears. The only way to install x32 after x64 is to use the offline installation.

The question comes up after the download during the installation dialog. It is right after the EULA agreement dialog, I believe.

I never get to the install dialog,.im trying to update an install that was done back in march,.i did get a 32 bit and 64 bit choice when I went to the folder that is specified under verbose settings., C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads,.,.,when I went there I found a file named SONAR ehkp documentation exe,. when I clicked that , I was shown a dialog with a choise of 64 bit or 32 bit. I selected 32 bit and then tried update again,. that was at 630pm yesterday,. last nite,. the machine is still updating now,. slow snail speed ,. this circuit slows down once a certain number of bytes has passed thru the byte counter. supposed to be unlimited plan,.it was hauling yesterday but slowed down during the wee hours, now at a crawl like 66 words per minute or so,.averaging around 120 kiolo bits persecond,. meanwhile I'm hung up. cant use the machine while on line like that have stuff unplugged.needs reboot. we'll see if that made a difference soon as it is finished,. if ever,. it has been 14hours running now. thanks again for your input. 1030pm now the next day after running 28 hours I do not see any change. on command center bottom line it says downloading 2 files(0.47%)... same thing it has said the whole time and the 2 files have not grown at all, yet I'm seeing a steady receive 11 kilo bytes per second,. approximately ,. that is 110,000 bits per second average according to task manager Ethernet tab so I just did the math, at that rate, 11K bytes a second,. in 13 hours it would have completed platinum setup approximately 460Mega bytes the older versions are. something wrong,. plus, the telephone tethering cable circuit is slow, having used up the allowed number of bytes,. after that it slows down to a crawl,. after the end of the month, when I pay next months access charge, it will go about 10 to 50 times faster, for a while until I use up the allowed byte count, not sure what the number is,. not too much,. I only did a updates of SONAR this month and Microsoft and they used it up. that may have been Microsoft running it at 110,000 bits per second all of this time because , as I say, I do not see any change in the status of command center,. says ,. (0.47%) I'm not getting any work done like this sitting here waiting. trying to read up music theory or study electronics in the meantime on SONAR x3 I was allowed to download ot my telephone microssd card, then, from there, move the files to my machine and run them, that was ok,. very unhappy with the new installer on line. I have been using the boxed disk set the whole time I have used SONAR,. except for x3 was the first tiome i used download,. in favor of SONAR, the on line updates on the 64 bit version are ALL GOOD. everything is working great ,. I already updated the 64 bit version. too bad they don't have a minimal install file we can download like on the disk there was a minimal install button I could press as a panic button when something wasn't working I used it and it only took a few minutes to run and complete the whole install, it doesn't install synths or any effects, only SONAR. hope they'll reach that point with this on line installer someday. this is a drag. youz guys ,(ladies two)with these cable hookups don't notice the difference most likely, I'm not on a cable and I have a very low budget and keep trying to buy new equipment all the time ,. may as well , figure I'm doing this every day, mite as well have good equipment,. i was off line for 3 years and managed to buy a good pre with the money i saved having the phone off.. already shot my wad as the picture shows my investment. somebody was in my room, when i was not here, damaged my new thunderbird , at least it didn't sprout legs or fly away. they damaged the finish badly and it was new. anger,.hurt,.pain,. all of that,.everything,.and then some about two months ago, when i was not here, i was up at va hospital at the time. teaming on me, they have been. who ever they are, i do not know. sneaking around behind my back ,. ,. has me all freaked out ,. shall not go into that here, have a safe place for the firebird now. i live in a small room in a hotel. hotel management has it on camera too, no arrest yet tho nobody kicked out yet either. that was in October when it happened,. slow as molasses in January. meanwhile i been sweating getting a safe place for my new 2017 bird, and i have been blessed,. as hiney new safe, old lookin property of the post office department. Property of Wayne now. fully paid cash. Is good safe place,.the rock, they cost too much and i don't have any room and theyre too heavy but the moneys gone now and that needed to be done,. it was shipping that hurt, dude gave me a great deal on the safe,.. I would recommend doing the same to anybody in a bad area,. but be prepared to shell out some big bux for shipping, very heavy, and very hard moving it to where ever it is going to set. I'm going to reboot now midnite,. no way it would have taken this long,.a few minutes under 30 hours it has been running i shud have at least one file finished of the 2,. there has been no change in either file since it started at 18 28 yesterday maybe try again later fyi wayne

boy, ill tell you, I feel like about a dummy now,. ever since I started updating I have been using command center and hit update button on command center, not knowing that the files were being placed in the hidden directory addressed under the gear at rite corner of command center that is with verbose on, verbose meaning, of course, everyone knows that means, detailed out,. I had to look it up a while ago when microsoft first used it on defrag. so, i rebooted and the 2 files that command center had been stuck on are in the hidden directory , partial, cant use them, i shud delete them out,.the files that command center was stuck on were the 22.12 update,.and the effects, when i clicked on the version 22.10 update after rebooting,.it wen into the installed and offered me the option just like you were saying,. my problem was that i did not know the installers were being downloaded to the hidden directory. from my perspective, SONAR has kept all that at their end and had installed from a remote installer at their end of the internet circuit, i was really unhappy with that too , i didn't even know the installers were all placed in that directory on my machine when command center did the update of the 64 bit versions,. it seems that what ever was the last version selected manually, command center uses that when i click on command center update it does the install of 64 bit wihout asking me if i want 32 bit or 64 bit, and i never knew the installer file was placed on my machine,. see? there were no help with command center when i hit f1 and i dint know how to use it,. so I'm ok now,. much better,. i can use those when I'm off line, that's good, so i failed to do the 22.12 update download i only received partials 0,57% or whatever it was , but i did get a installer for 22.10 and i used that and selected 32 bit and it updated the 32 bit version and i did that when i was not connected to the line. so it is all good now,. wheew,. that's way better now,. thanks for your help and all the verbose and the gear thing that was led me to the hidden directoy where i found the installers,. thanks again and merry chirstmas,.
