Three sets of CA2A, how do I tidy up SOLVED
This morning I've been changing the Images for the CA2A, and after renaming the old files, and adding the new ones, I found it wasn't updating in Sonar. I tried creating a folder within called 'archive' to move old file to, but it stil seemed to be picking them up. I then discovered another version on my system, and changed these. These time, the active back plate changed in Sonar, but not the inactive or the Prochannel icon. Another search and I've found I have three installations of CA2A. Thanks Command Centre. I had this before it was free last month, but as it appeared in my CCC I used that to reinstall, incase it was a newer version, then we just had a new version, which I installed. I'm not sure if this caused the triplication, but I though CCC would be more consistent. C:\Program Files\cakewalk\vstplugins\CA2ALevelingAmplifier C:\Program Files\cakewalk\CA2A Leveling Amplifier (This seems to be used for the active back plate image, but not the inactive or PC icon for the menu) C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\CA2ALevelingAmplifier How do I get the Inactive icon and PC Thumbnail to be seen by Sonar? Should I just delete all three and reinstall from CCC?

Strangely when I run Bitflipers VSTInventory, it's just picking up two versions. Their should be 6, 3 ProChannels and 3 VSTs c:/program files/cakewalk/vstplugins/CA2ALevelingAmplifier/CA-2ALevelingAmplifier_64.dll c:/program files/common files/vst3/CA2ALevelingAmplifier/CA-2ALevelingAmplifier_64.vst3

Yes the VST scan preference. possibly a reset of the plug in scanner would help ?

Kamikaze Should I just delete all three and reinstall from CCC?
If Chuck's suggestion of reset/rescan doesn't help, I think doing the above is your best bet.

The folder "C:\Program Files\cakewalk\CA2A Leveling Amplifier" contains the resources (help files, images), the other two contain a single file each for the VST2 (.dll) and VST3 (.vst3) plugin. If the latter also contain resource files, those are obsolete and no longer used by the actual plugin versions. Probably, they are from an older installation.

So it seems although I had 3 sets of folders, with 3 sets of resources. So all the images were triplicated. There was just the one .VST3 and .DLL file. I went ahead an deleted all three folders and restarted. Before I reinstalled. I opened Sonar with a blank project, and the CA2A is set a default in the ProChannel strip. So I had a look, and even though I had deleted all the images, and there is no CA2A on my computer, it showed the original image for the inactive CA2A. Where is this image being picked up from. It can't be from the Resources folders, as I have deleted it?

Reinstalled. Replaced images before launching Sonar, launched Sonar. All three images are now showing as expected. And it looks cool
