Set vertical grid lines to higher "resolution" in track view? [SOLVED]

I did a search and could find a discussion in previous versions (and some strange workarounds) but I am finding it hard to believe this is not possible as a setting? - so I hope someone can point me in the right direction...

In the track view I want to have the vertical grid lines to show a high resolution (e.g. 16th notes) to assist with lining up transients and/or the inline PRV with each other

Is this currently possible in track view or should I make a feature request?

Can't you use the Zoom function to increase the resolution ?

Yes, if Smart Grid is enabled.

DOH! - I thought it would be something simple

I don't know how/why I turned this off - SMART GRID is AWESOME!

Is it possible to keep the gridlines showing when snap is turned off as a visual reference when tweaking the timing of notes & beats?

Unfortunately, when zooming in it gets confusing which grid lines to line up the sample to.
I would prefer setting to what I need.
