Help for this Forum - posting images

Hi - I have a Sonar question I'd like to post about for some help, and it would greatly ease understanding of the issue if I could post a screen grab (JPG file) of the issue.  However, the "attach images" part of this forum system doesn't seem to have a way to do this.  It appears to provide a URL option, but nothing that would allow me to simply upload an image from my computer.  I don't know how or if the URL option is viable because I don't have a website to post images to.   The Upload tab in that dialog box appears non-functional.

Can't I just upload directly from the computer?

Also I don't see any general forum help sections on this website; if there are any, would love a pointer.  Thanks

You need to upload your images to an external site such as Imgur, get the link code and paste it here using the "Insert / Edit Image" button

Yeah, slightly, but the rest of us have been doing it that way for years.

It does have one big advantage that all of your uploads are in one place so you never need to do the same screenshots more than once

Some photos you don't need to upload as long as they are not encropted.
For example:

this photo here found on Google. (type Sonar platinum) and then click Images on Googles menu bar.
This is the first photo that comes up:
https://www.google.com/search?q=sonar+platinum&biw=1536&bih=745&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwit59PdrpLRAhXo44MKHYPIAzoQ_AUICCgD#imgrc=ScMbUSaEYWsUfM%3A
Now if you right click on this photo and select Properties, a Properties box will pop up.
Now drag and select the Address (URL) See below:

https://media.sweetwater.com/images/items/750/SonarPltUpSP-large.jpg?07f44b7a72

Now in the comment section in this forum click on the little + Photo icon (Insert / Edit image)
Copy that link you got from the properties pop up in to the + Photo icon and you get this:

Its basically the same idea when using uploaded photos to free hosting sites.

Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control
