"Grotto Funk" Original

Hi!

I have Toontrack's EZ Drummer 2 and I also have the Latin Percussion expansion pack.  I put this together using some preset beat patterns in the Latin kit and put a in a regular kit playing a funk beat.  The lead is an arrangement of (virtual) tenor sax, mute trumpet and flute by Garritan Jazz & Big Band 3 and piano by Toontrack EZ Keys.  A little vocal rap on the 2nd verse (Rap isn't my main style).  Anyway, hope you enjoy "Grotto Funk"

    John,

Cool track, reminds me a little of Atlanta Rhythm Section for some reason.   Like what you did with the beats.   Very enjoyable listen.   Would sound amazing with a real sax player on the track.

Pleasant enough little groove, the bass is too out front, it is almost dominating the mix needs to be brought back into the mix.  Thanks for sharing.

Mark & Wook-Thanks so much.  Mark, I think you mean the Miami Sound Machine.(Gloria Estefan).  I'm a big fan of the Atlanta Rhythm Section and they aren't big on Latin Percussion.

Pleasant enough track, but it feels a little sterile to me... needs a little more grit to it.  Also, the bass is to prominent.

    Hi John
Nice groove and music/percussion is cool. Not sure about the rap though, sorry.
