[SOLVED] VST scan loop nightmare
I wanted to update my S-gear virtual amp vst. The install went fine. When I went to my plug in layout it wasn't there. So I did a re-scan of all folders, it got done, still not there. So I went to check to make sure that particular vst folder was included in the scan and get the error message, VST scan already running please wait for it to finish. I shut down Sonar and then totally rebooted the computer, re-start the program. Clicked the options button again and get the same vst scan already running error. I can't seem to get out of this loop. I can't do anything to modify the plugin layouts because of this error. How can I shut down any background scan?

I pulled up task manager and found it wasn't an application, but a process running even after a reboot. I killed the process and was finally able to edit.
