POSSIBLE BUG: Selecting A Midi Input from a Synth MIDI Out Enables The Virtual Controller

this video shows it all.

When i select my MPK225 midi controller, no problem.  But when I choose a MIDI-out from a synth (Notemapper), it also enables the Virtual Controller as an input as well - which is causing problems.

This happens with ANY Midi-out from ANY synth.  it is not my VST exclusive.
