Hi Jeremy, very nice composition and clean recording/mix. The following are all subjective and just what struck me when listening. I would've liked to hear a creamy chorus (or fx of your choice) on the clean lead to differentiate from the other guitar part and also bring it up a notch. Possibly, try some nice lush verbs and see what suits your fancy.

Overall, you have very good thing going here, just needs a little treatment here & there to give it a bit more depth.

Hey Mesh, thanks for the advice. I tinkered around with some effects for the lead and decided to go with a chorus on it. It already had some light verb and delay on it. The chorus helped a lot and let it stand out more. It will be more noticeable on my next song. I also turned it up some, it was a tad low. This is why it helps to have more people listen to it lol.

Sounds good.  Interesting video.  Interesting bass interaction with the guitar.

Sounds nice here, I think I am hearing the original without the suggestions from Mesh.  The mix could do with a few tweaks just to get those differences he mentioned.  Thanks for sharing.

Sure thing, https://soundcloud.com/fendicator/night-and-day this is with the slight chorus on lead, turned up 1db and 3% more reverb ...I noticed it was at 17% verb so I made it an even number lol. If there is anything else you guys are hearing just let me know. All guitar effects are Amplitube 4.

The song itself is very pleasant and the recording of it does it justice. No crits really on the audio - sounds very good. but watching the video flip back and forth between the single shot and the two shot for four minutes got me a little edgy, I'm afraid. Perhaps it's only me. Perhaps you might bring in some other visuals that come and go along the way?

    cheers,

Hey emerald, I understand where your coming from on the video. I could add more transitional effects, fades or something?

Nice instrumental. I think the lead guitar in the first section could come up a bit. Nice tone on the bass. Everything sounds nice and clean, but my preference would be for the drums to play steadier with a lot less starts and stops. It's hard to get a groove going the way they are now.

I think it would be just fine to cut away from the fretboard(s) for a 20 second interlude montage of interesting video bits, in whatever theme you'd care to choose, could be specific or abstract. Then fade back in to the fretboards. Maybe insert two or three of these interludes in your 4 minute video, just to break up the fingershow?

the musicianship is fine of course, but even a guitar player's attention span is limited.  :)

    cheers, and good work!

I like what you have here and the video keeps your attention but, as mentioned already, the lead doesn't cut through enough.
