Moscow Mule = overrated for me.
Got a Sam Adam Winter Classics 12 pack that came with ginger beer. So I always have vodka and decided to make one of these drinks. I can't say it's really worth wasting the beer or the vodka. After googling my findings it does make the list of overrated drinks. Maybe ginger ale and vodka would be better.

I don't drink anymore. When I tell my drunk friends how utterly stupid they seem when tipsy they say I'm a tight-a** about drinking. I admit I could lighten up, but really it's like our reptilian mind takes over or something.

I usually prefer a Madras as my vodka drink. Vodka, cranberry juice and orange juice. Makes a decent well drink when I don't want to have beer breath for any drive home later.

I drink at home. I'm not a mixer type person. Most of mine are straight. Trying to finish off my black rum. They only thing that mixes with black rum is black rum and ice. I swear it has caffeine. A shot or two in the evening and I can't sleep.

Well, in Japan we mix Vodka and ginger ale with a twist for Moscow Mule.
As a bartender, I can say using the name is only a way to charge 10x more what it is worth. Another 10x for using the famed signature bronze cup.

Sam Adams ginger beer is not the ginger beer to use. I got one of those winter packs for my beer advent calendar so I know what it is.
You want a good Jamaican ginger beer (it is a non-alcoholic soft drink with so much ginger in it, it burns the throat)
And rose's lime juice.

My new favorite (for about a year now) has been Hennessy Black. Besides enjoying how smooth the drink is, the best part is waking the next day without any side effects whatsoever.

I'm convinced if it were for the novelty of the copper cup few would drink the Moscow Mule. Me, don't care for it. :)
Interestingly, many buy cheaper copper cups where the inside isn't copper - they aren't getting the same drink.
