Can't create loop or punch points

Had an issue with not being able to create loop or punch points in a certain project. Had V-Vocal open on a vocal track and thought this may have something to do with it so I opened a different project and tried to create loop points and it didn't work there either. Is there a problem with Sonar at this point? Anybody experience this or anything like it?

    No such problems here. Can you provide steps to reproduce?

    Activate punch recording, enter time in box/scroll to time (doesn't matter), hit enter and the time reverts back to a seemingly random number. Responds the same if I do this from the transport drop down menu. Same thing happens when working with loop functions.
