Why is my exported files in different speed compare to the one playing in the DAW?

Hey guys,

I'm on something stupid here, but please bear with me. I'm now satisfied with my mix that I've been working on. But after I exported the song  I noticed that the guitar parts are somewhat faster and out of timing in the drums, yet if I play the mix from the DAW it seems to be in the right timing? I exported it in FLAC 64bit depth. I'm trying different formats to see if it will make difference.

Thank you,

Are the drums midi. Are your guitars playing through amp sims?

And what type of export setting are you using i.e. fast bounce etc.?
You could try to experiment with some things by making a second version name for your whole project and put that aside while you experiment.
Try bouncing your midi drums to audio track and guitars through sims to audio tracks >>>then export and see what you get.
The beauty of the DAW world as opposed to tape is you are afforded the opportunity to do some non destructible problem solving experiments.

Try exporting as a 24 bit WAV and reimport it back into your project - it should sound identical.

Why are you exporting at 64bit and what are you using to play it back?

    CbB, Platinum, 64 bit throughout

When you say reimport you mean I'll import the exported wav file right? Side by side to the mix for playback test?
Honestly I actually dont know what's the difference between the bit depth, I only pick 64bit because I'm assuming the higher no. the better.

Okay I figure it out now. I didn't apply the changes made on audiosnap. I thought it was automatically applied when I click disabled, then I did the render. That's why it was so different from the exported copy. Thanks guys.
