random glitches in audio. sound like a scratch on a vinyl record

I am getting random noises in sonar.  the sounds are as described.  I first thought I had clipped the kick drum.  I soloed it and
looped it to where I thought they were occuring.  but they occur at different spots.  I turned off all plug ins and still have them.  can not figure this one out
 

ASRock Z97 Pro 4 Motherboard
Chipset : Intel Z97

    You may have to adjust the latency of you audio converter to a larger number.  If you're mixing, there's no reason not to set it at 1024 ms.

    Ok thanks I will try that.  I am using a motu 1248 and I have it at 128  perhaps a bit too low.  I guess I thought my system could take it.  thanks again

    Happens to me sometimes too. If want to keep the latency sometimes restarting Sonar or Windows helps.

    Windows 10/64, Intel i7 Xeon X6575 3,07GHz, 24Gb RAM, chipset: Intel X58 Express, Kingston SSD 240Gb,  Sonar Platinum ∞, Edirol UA-25.  (Some extra VSTs: PSP almost all/  IK - AT4, ST3, / AAS - all/ TH3 full/ +10dB/ Melodyne Editor). EVE sc205 monitors, Defil Kosmos guitar, blue lava lamp, ashtray.  And there is some great music you may find at: https://soundcloud.com/pawel-jan-1
