Help Please

Hi folks

I've just upgraded to Sonar Platinum (from X1) and have a new MOTU 828 Mk 3. When I try and record it isn't giving me any sources for recording audio. In the preferences all the inputs for the 828 are selected and it sees them for outputs and for MIDI inputs, but when I go into the track view to start recording there are no available inputs for audio. Is anyone able to suggest what the problem might be?

Many thanks

David

What driver are you using? Is it ASIO?

You need to go to Edit - Preferences - Audio and see if your MOTU 828 Mk 3 is checked for inputs.  Once you get in there it maybe come self-explanatory what you need to check...

Hi John - Yes, the ASIO driver
Hi Listen- Thanks but I've checked that. All the options are selected. That is what has me baffled.

I should have mentioned that this is a new PC as well so there are no previous settings to cause any problems.

Sorted it. The drivers were set wrong. When I went into the Utilities menu and went to the audio/midi set up option in there it wasn't set to the ASIO driver . This seems to have sorted it. Thanks for the help.

Cheers
