Plugin Alliance (Plugins makes Sonar constantly crashing)

Hi there,

I recently bought (or more correctly) leasing the Mastering Bundle V2 from Plugin Alliance. I did trial it a year ago, and then it worked smoothly. But after I downloaded them yesterday and did start to add them, and having used them today I got several crashes (This program had an unexpected error", along with the crash report window from Cakewalk) The workflow is really bad because of this, so could not continue. Been like that all day.

I did rollback to a version I had now when I did have it on trial, March 2016, and so far so good. No crashes, but only had it up for an hour or so, so with everything I click on I am afraid of that crash message.

Anyone else had any issues with Plugin Alliance plugins on the newest Sonar version?

I want too add that this is the only time since I bought Sonar, around 2 years ago, that I experience crashes like this. At least thru out a whole day & only happening when I insert plugins from Plugin Alliance. No reason for me to use the newest version of Sonar, so I am using the older version for now. At least untill (if) it crashes again. Then I have no idea what is wrong.

Is it all those plugins or is one specific one? I have a bunch of Brainworks plugins and none of them crash Sonar.

while not having the plugins you are talking about, i have all pa's amp sims, the maageq4 and a couple of others, i just loaded them all up in sonar(latest official) and put them through their paces, no issue here with any pa plugs that i own.

It has been all the plugins within the M/S Mastering Bundle V2.3. The problem appeared first with the 2 new plugins they have on trial. bx_subsynth and another I can`t remember the name of right now. Installed them together with the Mastering Bundle V2.3 yesterday. The latest crash was with the bx_digital v3. But after I rolled back the version 2016.03 it works again without any crashes.

I have used now the pan_eq and bx_v3 on the older version, and no crashes yet.

I did get some strange runtime error earlier today as well, together with that I could not play the project without restarting it, so maybe it jusy been a bad day.  I don`t know. Hoping the problem is solved, and will double check on the newest Sonar version again tomorrow (sunday) . Hopefully it was just one of these days for the computer.

For sure I want to work on the newest version, but not if the workflow is as bad as it was today.

Edit: I did not ever had any crashes when I had the bundle for trial around a year ago, so that been said. Nice to know that this is not a general problem. Easier to fix then on my own.

I don't have the  bx_digital v3. I do have  bx_digital v2 though. I have most of the BX plugins and as I said none of them have given me any trouble. I like them a lot.

I would contact Brainworx and let them know what has happened.

Hi. I do not have those particular plugins, but all my BX / PA plugins are playing nice with SONAR. Sorry to be of no more help.
    All the best.

I would try the vst2 versions instead of the vst3 versions. I've had issues with their implementation of vst3 in the past.
