Solved-Freeze does not work on EZ Drummer MIDI tracks
I have one instance of EZD, set up for multi outs. These are feeding 4 separate MIDI tracks-groove, high hats, fills, cymbals (as per ModBod suggestion from way back). These in turn go to individual audio outs. I go to freeze a MIDI track and
very briefly (2 seconds)
it flashes the bar that it's being froze. But the freeze button does not stay lit up, and the corresponding audio track/s do not indicate they are frozen either. I can set audio track to view waveform, hit play and a wave form appears. But it's not frozen.
Unlike other MIDI tracks (say a bass VSTi) where I can see the bar that takes the 10-20 seconds to actually process the data as frozen. When done, the MIDI track and the corresponding audio track's freeze button is lit and the waveform appears. All EZD MIDI clips are location and data unlocked.
I'm getting ready to mix down. So I thought it prudent to copy this project to a new one, saving this version, then in new project file, delete all archived data and start anew. Thought this prudent...
Any ideas on this behavior? What am I missing?
Michael
Solved: I froze the plugin in the Browser and that worked. It wouldn't freeze in the track view, as described above.
