Thinking about buying P5

So far I have built a computer, I'm thinking of upgrading to 1Gig of RAM from 512. I have Sonar 4 and Intakt that is all. I just ordered an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. I was reading through this forum and I noticed that there was one guy who had a problem with pops and clicks when he looped drums in P5 through rewire into Sonar 4. I was wondering if anybody else had that problem?

Just trying to do a little research about what to expect before I fork out the doe.

thanks

Pops and clicks are likely a system or soundcard issue. I use P5 rewired through SONAR4Pro and love it, no problems except for memory issues (I'm upgrading to 1.5 gig, order went in today) I would suggest at least a gig for a rewire setup like this one.

Then there's the alleged grooveplayer bug, which is not all that common (I've only had one project corrupted) Not really a huge red flag, IMO, but if you use a lot of loops then it might be something you'd want to look into. There are other ways for you to use loops anyway (Cyclone, for one. Or natively in SONAR)

Project5 MIDI is head-and-shoulders better than in SONAR. PSEQ makes using/editing MIDI *so* much easier.

All told, I highly recommend P5.

Wait till after the 1st of Feb to buy and you'll be able to upgrade to 2.0 free. (IIRC)

Also, tell me if you would how you like the Keystation Pro 88: I've been looking at that myself. Some people have complained about sticking key issues, but that may just be early runs of the thing. how much did you pay and from where?

Only 512K memory here and I never get pops and clicks when rewiring P5 into Sonar.
