Great synth, Sean. I've kept it as one of the few free synths in my leaner, meaner system. There was a time several months back where I dove into it heavily, but it kinda got pushed aside when I got z3ta+.

There's quite a few structural similarities between the two synths, with z3ta+ being a little more refined, and the Rock providing a sharper-edged sound. Both have their unique places, but the price point of Concrete makes it amazing.

Here's a thread about it from last September that includes some comments from the developer. As for your problem, I've never had the Rock not play well with others. I just tried it alongside quite a number of other soft-synths, and both play in unison (if set to the same port/MIDI channel). The only thing that I can think of is that you may have gotten caught by the MIDI Override button, a misplaced port/channel setting, or a KB transmit channel miscue.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but I can think of no other situation/solution. Can you post what VSTi(s) caused the Rock to "drop out"?

it looks like its from ugo's texture and string theory. so i ran both of those and the rocks sound got messed up.....then i added angelina and the sound came back.....

i will try and reinstall it and see what happens

edit: yep...its the ugo texture synth that seems to be causing it.
messes up the sound of the rock. odd......
guess im getting rid of the texture.

i emailed support, and he has never heard of this happening. he hasnt tested it out on project5 yet, but he said he was going to.
he also said that anything created with synth edit doesnt seem to want to work with his software.

so is ugo's plugins made with synth edit?

cant all my plugins just get along?

I just downloaded rock synth and inserted it into a track that already had a couple of string theory's in there and it seemed to work ok. Are you using any free efeects plugins? If so, might be that because i've had some crashing problems with some free effects plugins.
