I've actually seen the MTM show a few times, but remember being more interested in watching Gilligan's Island.

    RIP MTM

Actually, I loved the MTM Show and watched it all of the time.  She was one of my favorites.  Many times when I visit MN, we end up bicycling around Lake of the Aisles, in Minneapolis, where the famous house stands, on Kenwood.  When you stand on the side walk along this lake shore, you have the funny feeling that this place is familiar.  You can picture Mary throwing her hat up in the air.

She certainly could light the world up with that smile.

I care that she is gone ...
The Coffee House has been RIP central for the whole year of 2016 while we lost a lot of good people ....
I was hoping 2017 would turn out to be different which it appears not to have been .

I find it a shame as well.  I watched DVD and the MTM shows as well and always had a soft (er hard) spot for her.

    RIP.

She had such a hard life (three marriages, losing her only son, diabetes, alcoholism), but her shows brought so much laughter. She was amazing in Ordinary People as well. She supported causes like Childhood Diabetes and Animal placement in her later years.

I do rather think quite a few people care that she's gone.

I like what Dick Van Dyke said: "I loved her. I know that you're going to say that everyone loved her. But I saw her first."

    Very sweet.

    R.I.P., Mary.

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.
