Speed Comping Multiple tracks?

I just finished a guitar session.  I have two tracks (1 DI, and 1 Amp) with multiple take lanes.  How do I go about 'speed comping'  both of these tracks at the same time?

Thank you in advance!!

Forget it, I just figured it out.  I needed to properly group each take lane for the tracks.

    1) In the future you will want to change your Record Preferences to "Group Clips In Folders" (or whatever it's called... I'm not at my DAW) and make sure any multimic/track setups such as this are contained in their own folders. In this example you would put your separate DI and amp tracks within Sonar into a Track Folder BEFORE starting to record. By doing all this the clips produced on BOTH tracks will automatically be linked as you record. These clip groups are called "Selection Groups".

    2) If you did NOT do this before recording your multimic setup then you will have to manually create these "Selection Groups" by selecting the clips that were recorded simultaneously in both tracks then right clicking on one of the selected clips and and clicking "Create Selection group from Selected Clips" (again not at my DAW so the verbiage may be different but it's something like that).

A number will appear in the upper left corner of clips added to selection groups. All clips with a 1 in that corner are group 1 and any editing done on one clip in the group will be reflected in any other clips in Group 1. If you create multiple groups for comping then the number will increase so if you group a second selection of clips it will show 2 in the upper left hand corner of all the clips in group 2 and again obey all edit commands across all clips... and so on.

So yeah, look in the manual for Record Preferences to group such multi mic setups in the future and for now, to group your current takes look up "Clip Selection Groups: and whatnot. Lots of threads and manual entries on this stuff.

    Cheers.
