changing snare artulations
hi everyone, i have a song where in the verses i'm using the side stick, then in the chorus, i want to use the center hit on the same snare. i see in the piano roll view each articulation is directly above the other. what i want to do is move the entire section. there must be a way to do this other than moving each note individually. can you please tell me how this is done. thank you. jp " />

Yes just lasso-select the notes you want to move and they'll all move together

Hi. Holding Shift while dragging, ensures that they align when moving. All the best.

Bristol_Jonesey Yes just lasso-select the notes...
Right-click and drag around the notes with the Smart Tool to lasso. Or you can click the keyboard key for that note number to select all sidestick hits, and then drag in the timeline to select the section.

Pressing the piano keys will also highlight all those notes connected to that key.

That is true, but it will select all notes played by that note, not the selection OP wanted. My first thought as well. All the best.

Or use num pad keys: 8 for moving selected MIDI events up and 2 - to move 'em down.

Select tool. Lasso the notes with the mouse only, THEN hold Shift and drag them with the mouse.

- Start by left-clicking an empty area of the PRV with the Smart Tool to de-select everything. - Right-click and drag across the notes with the Smart Tool to lasso. - the lassoed notes should become highlighted (darker) than earlier/later notes on the same note number. - Only those highlighted notes should move when you left-click and drag one of the selected notes with the Smart Tool. - Holding Shift constrains the movement to whichever axis you move first whether vertical or horizontal.
