New installation: new disk what order to install

Had the OS disk meltdown experience.

I have a copy of the latest Control Center folder.

Suggestions on what order to load stuff?

Anyway to get the CCC to install from the files?

If you already have the installers, copy them into the Download Path specified on the Paths tab in the Command Center setting. The Command Center will look for the files there before downloading. If you want V-Vocal, perform a minimal install of a version of SONAR that included that plug-in. The install order of everything else does not matter, although I install the SONAR Platinum line before installing the items below it. Advanced installs to grab other discontinued products from older versions can happen anytime.

I will add things can get a little tricky if you need DX versions of DPro and Rapture.

    Thank you for this.

Asking because last month an update got downloaded and the CCC informed the file was ready for install, but it started downloading again when I clicked install.

And: the CCC will look for all the updates possible for each item that is part of my subscription. Yes?

So, just copy the whole backup folder to the CCC downloads folder?

    Thanks.

The Command Center installs the most recent version of every installer. It is not smart enough to know if a plug-in has been discontinued (like the old LP plug-ins). It is supposed to check the download folder and use the files there before downloading. So copy the files to the download folder or point the download path in settings to the current location of the installers. The Command Center will show every previous version available to you. If you need plug-ins which are no longer part of SONAR and want the most recent version from SONAR 2015-2017, you will need to research which installer contains the plug-in. It can be a little time consuming but the info is in the rolling updates web page on the main SONAR page and knowledge base. To save time, you could use an Advanced install of X3 and update if you have issues with the X3 versions.
