SPLAT plugin question

I have SPLAT and I think I am either missing a plugin or just have the path wrong on the VST scanner. I remember using a Vox plugin that had distortion on it. The plugin had a similar look to the modfilter, multivoice chorus/flanger, compressor/gate, etc. - that comes with SPLAT. I mean, I admit, I have drank some beer and slept some since I used it last. And now, months later, I can't find that plugin anywhere. It seems like it was plugin that came with SPLAT. I wanted to add some distortion to a vocal track and that plugin had a decent sounding distortion.
What am I missing here? I can't find a screen shot of the plugin in the Cakewalk TOC. I am at a loss. It has to be something I am doing wrong. Help!

I think you are talking about the VX-64 vocal strip

The only distortion plugin with that particular Cakewalk plugin design (used for DirectX effects) is AliasFactor.

I guess I missed this part "The plugin had a similar look to..."
I think Ralf is right... The Tube Leveler is also kinda sorta similar looking

I don't think the AliasFactor is it. It had a knob on it for distortion and the plugin was for vocals. It was that rectangular shape too. I will check the DirectX effects. I have the Waves Platinum bundle and it not in there. I have a handful of signature plugins and so far the Butch Vig Vocals is the only one that I can get close to distortion by cranking up the saturation on it.
Watch - I'll probably find out it was some kind of free trial plugin I had downloaded as a promotional thing and just don't recall doing it. I have a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 and Focusrite offers free plugins frequently.
I have an Art SGX 2000 stand alone effects processor with a lot of decent analog effects but just have never looked into hooking it up to the Focusrite. (From analog land)!
What is the difference between VST plugins and DirectX?

VST is a plugin standard by Steinberg, DX is from Microsoft.

A nice free distortion plugin is CamelCrusher, but it's not specific for vocals.

Hi Sam - I believe you're asking about an FX Chain. It is called Vox Tools. It was part of a collection of FX Chains provided by Craig Anderton in a SPlat update from a year or so back. (2015 or 2016)
If you have it, it is in FX Chain/Anderton Collection/Vox Tools.

If you don't have it, hopefully someone will chime in on how to get it - if available.

I like adding distortion to only high frequencies on vocals.

VX-64 allows you to choose low, mid and high, or a combination of all three, so I use it quite a bit. The Softybe Saturation knob is also great, as it can be switched between low or high. The Sturation Module can do something similar, IIRC., but I use it less frequently.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I thought I would offer some alternatives.

I am not at my PC right now but seems like that would be under the browser part, right?

    Yep.

Under the browser if you select Plugins by type you'll get VST3, VST, DX, Fx chains

And I would guess I have it since I have SPLAT lifetime updates. I know the plugin did not look like the FX chains I have made though.

Alright - I finally found an image of the plugin. But I am posting from my phone so I am not sure how to get the image on here.
At the top of the plugin it says - Vox Tools.
The knobs it has are Deplosive, Distortion, Cylon, Megaphone, Vibrato, and ADT.
And I cannot find it in my plugins list now.

That's Craig's.  Look in browser under FX Chains - Anderton Collection - Vocal Tools.

Got it! I was thinking Craig's FX chains would look the same as the ones I can make - and the Vox Tools does not look the same.
    Thanks everyone for help!
