Hello, I no longer have access to the Cakewalk SI instruments.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Assuming you are using 64 bit and have used the default install paths check out;
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins
look for the directories
SI-Bass Guitar
SI-Drum Kit
SI-Electric Piano
SI-String Section
Check each has the respective .dll file.
If they are present do a reset and rescan in the Plugin Manager.

No I do not have this problem and I use SI strings a lot is this happen to just one project or with every project? If it's with one project try opening project in safe mode I believe you hold shift key and open the project. Then try the project without SI strings if project plays try adding a new instance of SI strings.

Hello, actually, I cannot even find the instruments in the synth browser. I get a message from sonar that says that it cannot load the instruments. Interestingly, it does this for all 4 of them.

Hello and thank you for your help friends, I scanned for the THIRD time the VST folder manually for failed vst and somehow the plugins reloaded. Interstingly, there are other instrument plugins missing. Back to the drawing board.
For those who know, if I were to do a reset in the vst files, would this delete any presets plugins have? What are the consequences of a reset.

Reset does not affect the plug-ins at all, it deletes the VST inventory in the registry which was previously built by the scanner, then rescans the scan path(s) and rebuilds the VST inventory.

The SI plugins disappeared for me once too, but that was in an earlier installation, not my current setup. I never got to the bottom of it and they have been working ok lately. Sorry I can't be much help.

I don't know if anyone is out there monitoring these older posts but I have the same problem. I'm quite sure I know why, sort of. I don't like to update my software when in the middle of a project but I did this Spring (wish I knew from what version). That's when it happened. Now on all my projects I get SI-Bass Guitar... not found. I just found this thread and reset and re-scanned but it still did not fix. I've been putting up with it but really it's in all my projects and I need to resolve.

I lost them again recently but managed to figure out what was happening. It turned out that the older 32-bit versions of the DLL files had been overwritten by the 64-bit versions. I was using the 32-bit version of Sonar so obviously it wasn't detecting the installed files. I try to keep 32 & 64 bit plugins separate but the installers seem to mix them up (or in this case overwite one with the other). So I just moved the existing DLLs and reinstalled the old version and that solved the problem.

Hello, I did a reset and it t worked. Another option for you if that does not work, is to uninstall then and reinstall from cakewalk. This should work.
