MIDI volume tails in PRV

Cannot see them, and under "notes", the choice to show them is grayed out. Also, choices to show selected notes or selected track are not grayed out, but the tails still do not show. Am I missing some "let the tails be shown" master switch?

thanks in advance to the kind people here who bail me out regularly once every few months.

(side note - I had posted an issue here with EastWest chopping notes when converting to audio - turned out to be a software glitch from EW which they resolved eventually.)

Midi volume (velocity) is shown in the note area only, if the controller lane is hidden and the according option is active. The option is grayed, when the controller lane is open. In that case, you can display velocity in the controller lane, but it is not shown, if the controller lane is set to show a CC instead. Click on the + to open another lane, which should default to the velocity.

Finally, note area and controller lane show only the velocity for those notes that are not excluded by the other two options (selected notes and active track).

How did EW resolve the chopping note problem?  Which version of Play has this fix?

It's the latest one - 5.01, I believe. The current version of Play resolved it for me - 5.0 was the problem. It did take them 3 months, during which i was paying a monthly subscription without being able to use it. Happy it's resolved, but not so happy with the manner.

I rolled back to 4.3.5 because of it, but didn't think it was fixed in 5.01 yet, which is why I asked.  Perhaps they silently updated 5.01?

When I wrote to support, they told me the problem was real, and that an update would be coming. When they announced 5.01, I installed it, and the problem was gone. No communication from them, except for the notification that there was an update.

If you install the new one, it should work. I have sonar platinum, so if you're the same, our sktuations should be similar. Good luck
