minor annoyance - every update jiggers the VST's ?!

Every time I update SPLAT, it seems it screws up what VST's are seen, so I like have to this full re-scan. I mean it's not tha onerous but as the thread title says it is a minor annoyance, and I was wondering why Sonar does this?

    I don't know because I don't experience this, but I'm impressed that someone used the word "onerous."
