Default mod wheel (CC1) value when playing soft synth

Is there a way in Sonar Platinum to reset MIDI controller values (specifically mod wheel in my case) to a default value when stopping playback?  I am using Garritan GPO 5 as one of my soft synths, and it uses mod wheel to control volume.  In several of my tracks, I automate that mod wheel value.  However, when I stop playback and then click a track to play that instrument, the mod wheel is often at a very low level.  It'd be nice if I could automatically send a value of about 80 or so to that track when I stop playback.  Any way to do this?

    Hi,

I had the same issue with Orchestral Colors and Matthew Sorrels very kindly provided a CAL script which sorted it for me....see thread below.
