How to have Snap-To-Grid react to note position but not note length

I am arranging a guitar part and snap-to-grid makes positioning the clips easy and quick.

But when I adjust the length of the note, it's grabbing and forcing the end to the grid, too. The result sounds very mechanical and stodgy. Each note really must have it's own feel.

So is there a way to have the snap-to-grid for note position only?

Do the front of the notes with SNAP turned on and then turn off the snap to do the end of the note.
Easily done with the "N" Key

If you Hold "n" a little longer you can give it another resolution for snapping, perhaps 1 tick.

For Snap activated now you have 2 resolutions, perhaps a quarter to move a clip and by holding down "N" , 1 Tick for changing the length of a note....

In the preferences you can also set how "strong" the snap pulls.  If you set it to a weaker setting you can move stuff quite a bit without it "snapping" to a point.
