roland vs700 fantastic- what now?

Hi, went through nightmares setting it up but found it to be amazing- sonar platinum and vs700 and 700r. Looking forward, which control surface is best Presonus studio live or Mackie (or something else)- do you have motorised faders and similar control as with the vs 700? I want to control as many parameters in the software as possible from the control surface.
Please do not attack me I am not Trevor Horn!
Kind Regards from Scotland UK

I'm keeping my eyes on the Icon QCon ProX but for now, I'm happy with my VS-700c. I do need to look more into the AZSlow development for it.

whats wrong with trevor ? he's worked on many big songs from the 80's up the road @ sarm (as seen in band aid video)

this is the issue I have, I want to upgrade a bcf2000.. BUT don't wanna pay the nice mackie price.

the presonus ones do look great.. *BUT* I use multiple daws and don't want something that's not gonna work in other DAW's. (I was tempted to buy their 16 track older one, BUT no mention of mackie emulation = no go) .  their new thing does look nice also.. again better functionality in studio 1

the newer behinger thing you can chain 3 together.. but I'd rather have a 16 track version , as I don't want that jog wheel * 3.. or one without the jog wheel

it's too pricey an item to get "stuck with" .. when things get updated. as much as the roland thing is nice, I'm glad I dodged that.

I was able to get the VS-700 working under Windows 10...thanks to the forum. No need to abandon it, and you can get them cheap because people think they won't work

Craig, the got rid of em long ago in the UK..

but it does grate with me when you are spending a lot and pro audio companies are vague.

esp. the "mackie emulation coming soon" that never quite gets there.

I got my control surface to work but the rack kept crashing Sonar so I gave up on it and got a UAD Apollo. I would have liked to have been able to use the hardware synth on it but I have never been able to get that to work very well even back when we were using Sonar 8.
