DrumCore 4.1 Update with Multi-Out Routing

DrumCore 4.1 Update with Multi-Out Routing
DrumCore 4 has been updated to include multiple output routing, which enables producers and engineers to perfectly tailor the sound of DrumCore's drum kits to fit their mix.

DrumCore 4.1 has 7 dedicated stereo auxiliary outputs for bussing sub-mix channels within a session. The full drum mix is still being sent to the main stereo output, while the sub-mixes are routed to the auxiliary outputs. Bus assignments for the 48 pads in each kit can be customized as needed. See the DrumCore 4 User Guide PDF (12.21.2016 or later, section 5.4) for multi-out instructions.

Release Notes with DrumCore 4 to 4.1 Update Instructions.

I did the update and now Sonar crashes. I restored the previous version of Drumcore and the same happens since the latest Sonar update was installed last week. 2017.01 (23.1.0.32)

Yes, the 4.1 build crashes SONAR.

I just re-installed  the latest 4.0 release and it works fine. I reported this to Sonoma support.

I won't upgrade then, thanks for the heads-up. I was waiting for the multi out too. DC4 is turning out to be a real turkey.

I have not tried the update, Has anyone heard anything about a fix for 4.1 in Sonar??

In the meantime I got an email for them saying I was entitled to a pack as an advanced purchase customer. It was so long ago I can't remember exactly what was in the deal, but I took the Alan White pack. I had some of the MIDI before but now I have the full audio loops too.  There is quality of that old Submersable content. I have never used audio drum loops in anger but I may make an exception for these. I like the pack has related loops in different time signatures, a rare thing indeed.

Works perfectly at least with mine. I had no issues!

They released a 4.1.1 update a week or so ago that may have fixed the issues.

Well, 4.1.1 is installed and working. So far no crashes.

But when I insert the VSTi in Sonar with all outputs ticked I still only get a single stereo audio track. I will have to read the release notes later, maybe there is a hoop to jump through.

I think there is a note on the drumcore forum I saw last night about an issue with Sonar and multi out that stems from the plugin being seen as an effect and not an instrument.

Ah well, what's another year.

Meanwhile I have bee auditioning the Alan White audio loops. They are great and I am hoping to use some of them in a track soon.
It will be a bit of a departure from my usual way of working with Superior Drummer or BFD3.

I have to say the loops are pretty good. I just wish there were more fills or a better way to vary the beats that are there. The Gabrielize function of the old version was handy for that type of thing.

I have playing around drumcore a little more than usual the last few days and do like the sound of it. I also typically use BFD3, Toontrack, etc as well.

Would be nice if there was a good shell program to organize the multitude of loops I have. I never quite clicked with Cubase's Mediabay.

Yes, 4.2.0 works well in SONAR. Still trying to find the multiple outs...

Yep - at least the latest update does not crash Sonar, and I can confirm that multi-outs still don't work in Sonar. Its all pretty sad, there is some decent content but the software is still not fit for purpose.
