'Cakewalk generic surface' window not fully shown
I'm trying to add a controller using 'Cakewalk generic surface', however, only part of the window is visible, as shown in the screenshot below. I tried resizing the window, but this just adds grey area. Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm running version 23.1.0 build 32 [2017.01] - x64 (demo version) on Windows 10.

are your GPU drivers up to date? otherwise it does look like the panel is not updated (to show more content) when the window is resized

Thank you for your quick response. My video drivers are up to date. I tried the other types of control surfaces, and their windows are shown in full.

Resolution is set to native (1920x1200) and scaling is set to 100%. I tried changing both with no effect.

On your screenshot, the font does not looks like "MS Sans Serif" 8 (which should be used in this dialog). Have you removed/substituted/manipulated your system fonts? Do you have "MS Sans Serif Standard" in your C:\Windows\Fonts ?

I have not manipulated any fonts, but maybe some program I installed did. I do not have "MS Sans Serif Standard", but I do have "Microsoft Sans Serif Regular" and "MS Reference Sans Serif Regular". It seems to display in "System Bold", but I have no idea how I could change this. On the MS Sans Serif wikipedia page it says: "Today, the font is still available in all editions of ...". But it doesn't mention Windows 10.

While digging deeper into it I already found that. However, it did not help. I found out that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize\SmallFont changed the font of the generic surface screen. I changed FONTS.FON to a different font. Since it only accepts .fon fonts and they need to be really small I used leros.fon (). It's not pretty but it works.

Good that you could find a solution. But if you are serious about using control surfaces, you probably will switch to my plug-in soon. Am I am not sure that solution will work...

Thanks for your help. I just checked out your plug-in, and I'm sold. Amazing work! I have the opposite problem with it though, everything is tiny :p. It's not due to the font I changed, since I tried changing it back.

I explicitly use "MS Sans Serif", 8 and 16, in the interface. May be the best approach is to find it somewhere, for example on another computer. You observations are definitively unusual on Windows 10.

I got the font from a Windows 7 computer and installed it. It solved the problem with both your plug-in and the cakewalk plug-in. Thanks a lot for your help!

It could be a DEMO specific bug. I know it's supposedly the same program as the full deal but I've experienced strange issues exclusive to Trials/Demos before that weren't in the retail version.
