How to mute a selected segment of an audio clip?

Good afternoon, as a user of old Sonar 8, he was accustomed to using the letter "Q" to silence a track or a part of it. Now I see that there is no such resource in Sonar Professional ... What tool can I use to replace the "Q"?
Maybe my syntax is strange, it's that I'm using an automatic translator, since my language is Spanish.
Thanks for any replies!

You can mute a clip by selecting it and typing "K."

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!
