Yes, but they're not public yet.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

It is high time they tell us something.
Lack of communication is what is wrong with most companies.

"Damned if they do" only goes if they don't make good on their promises, such as by missing their announced deadline by several months. I understand this isn't an exact science, but come on, an update would be common courtesy to the customer base.

The problem occurs if they say something before being 100% sure about what they're going to do, and they turn out to be wrong...like the estimate they'd have an alpha in the fall.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't say something, even if it's only "This is taking a lot longer than we expected."

Agree 100%. Maybe it's just me but in my book it's a lot worse to not say anything than to simply say "sorry, we misjudged, we're having some difficulty with X and will keep you updated".

I would agree too. In june 2016 the term "fake news" was not even on my radar.

I would appreciate what Mr. Anderton suggests.

I guess admitting on their own forum to some problem existing is not very good considering how competitive the market is. Let them speculate is one thing, but telling your competitors is quite another thing.

At this point the silence is doing much worse to many loyal customers. Will it take another year? Are they abandoning the idea entirely? How do we know? It's not like they're a week or even a few weeks late, they said "fall 2016". It's now nearly spring 2017. I'm sure some people are more forgiving. But Cakewalk can solve this uncertainty very, very easily.

Three (small-ish) studios around me built a hackintosh instead of buying a trashbin design.
A really high end studio did buy a Mac Pro but it sits in a closet somewhere with one of those ridiculous Thunderbolt/PCI boxes for his ProTools hardware.
