User interface-- precision

Hello,

Does anybody have issues in Track view when resizing or moving tracks vertically?  Seems like when I try to pinpoint my mouse in order to move a track up or down, I have the darndest time with my precision... My fine motor skills aint great ,
but my workflow is suffering a long with my patience... I'm hoping its a mouse issue, but I've tried many different settings in the mouse prefs and still seem to be having problems... It's not wireless so that can't be the problem.

Is it just me?   Maybe it's time for a better mouse...

I'm with ya.  I don't really think it's a problem with SONAR, other programs I have require the fine motor skill of grabbing tiny lines to make adjustments.  I just don't have a great tine line grabbing skill.

Some mouse software includes an "Enhance pointer precision" checkbox. This isn't a standard Windows thing, it would be the app that supports your specific mouse. [I stand corrected - apparently it is a Windows thing, see below]

Thanks for the responses and links...

Even after the precision prefs changes etc., I still have a little difficulty with the moving tracks up and down... its hovering over that small area between the track number and icon that gets me...  oh well, I'll live.

There is a larger hotspot to the right of the track name in the Track view for moving tracks too.

I move tracks in Console view by holding ALT + Dragging.
The spot is right below the meter and to the right.

With narrow strips set in CV one can move tracks pretty freely.
