Annoying Drum Map Manager behavior

I was creating a new drum map last night and as I was adding new notes I would hit save every so often so I wouldn't lose all my work. The annoying thing is that the preset name would change from the one I'm working on to some different preset. Then I would have to open the drop-down and find the one I was working on. This kept happening over and over. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? If one isn't paying attention they can overwrite the settings in another map.

Yeah, I noticed something like that happening too. For me, though, the preset field usually goes blank, though I do recall sometimes a different and wrong name showing up. My solution is just type the name into the blank field every time I save. I assume that would work for you as well, after backspacing through the wrong name. A little annoying? Yes.

You say when you save you choose the correct name from the drop down and then save? Does that not load the last saved version of the drum map, meaning you just lost all the changes you've made since the last save? (I'm not at my DAW, so I can't check).

There is absolutely no doubt that Drum Maps need a MAJOR overhaul to drag it into 2017.

I would love to see an overhaul done to drum maps manager to make it a little more user friendly and also improve a tiny bit on the GUI.
For example, when using a drum map, the drum pane (on the left hand side) is grey and the font is smaller than the default black lettering on white background (which is easier to see IMO).

Not to mention those stupid little heads that are used in PRV, I much prefer 1/8 or 1/16th notes Vs. those Drum pane symbols. Not only are they easier to grab but you can zoom out further and see the notes clearer.

With all that out of the way,
Drum manager has been pretty consistent here. when I make a change I save it to the preset im working on.
I haven't created a new map since October though, so maybe you are seeing something new.
