Country Flavor

This is my very first creation using Sonar...In fact it's my very first recording ever.
After listening to it a few times myself I determined one thing..."I don't know what the hell I'm doing."
I've always played along with my favorite songs and I was happy to do so.

Since I've gotten Sonar Artist...my creative juices have been flowing.
I had this simple little Johnny Cash style riff that I would use for practice (which is weird, because I fancy myself a hard southern rock/metal/blues type of guy.) and thought I'd put it on paper.

I think it's a catchy, bouncy little tune that could use some help. I posted it here in hopes that someone could critique me and give me some "sound" advice.

Thanks for listening
James

I'm no mix pro, but I must say I like this. I have a couple of songs I wished that sounded half this good to be honest. It's really hard trying to record certain types of styles when playing the guitar and getting a mix that works. This one works sound wise in my opinion. A lot of people might say : "Need more this or that, meaning EQ or Treble or bass", but I think you have a great solid balanced mix of everything honestly.

I enjoyed hearing this one very much, this one doesn't need an EQ adjustment in my opinion on my speaker mix wise if that's what you are asking. As for the playing, I enjoyed hearing it!
    Thanks for sharing!

Love that guitar, drums-timing& mix seem just a bit disjointed

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah...I'm working on that. I done a few takes and picked bits and pieces, and tried to get it all tied back together.
I don't know what I did but I think some of the audio bits got stretched.
I'm sure once I have a better understanding of the program I'll be able to produce better quality stuff.

Sounds like you have made a start into getting to grips with the program, will keep the furry ears out for more stuff.

Nice tune! As someone else mentioned, there seem to be some issues with the timing but, since it eventually resolves itself, I think it's kinda kool! Look forward to hearing more.
