How Can I MIDI Learn This ProChannel Knob?

I would like to control this with my MPK249 controller, but I can't find a MIDI learn option for this.  Is it possible?

Thanks!

Can't you control the plugin knob that's in the FX chain directly? Otherwise you're trying to control a knob that's controlling another knob..

Peace!

ACT somehow has access to the FX chain knobs. so you could potentially try that (if your controller is configured as ACT controller) ... yet, there are very old bugs regarding ACT and FX chains which have never been addressed, so if the mapping is all screwed when you try it, you won't have much chance fixing it (but it's still worth a try)

have you tried right clicking on that knob ? there should be a Midi Learn option when right clicking on this knob.

well actually its controlling a bunch of knobs.  you can assign 5 or 6 paramters at once with these.

I haven't fully understood yet why but on some FX chains there are fewer right mouse click options on buttons than on others ... I assume some of it may be due to some locking functionality that I believe Craig also used to protect the FX chains he provided  ...

Im a little surprised myself, typically you can midi learn any knob in an FX chain.

That's the case only with the CA-X amps, however you can write automation for all the controls. Non-CA-X amps should allow for right-click MIDI learn.

There is no MIDI Learn on this knob...   there is a learn, but it is only to map the knob to a parameter, not to the MIDI CC on your keyboard.

In playing with this I just noticed a really annoying bug. When you select "edit control" and assign a parameter to the knob, there is no way of reversing the assignment. Because when you select "none" in the destination menu, the OK button becomes greyed out.

EDIT: then again, I'm stupid enough not to notice "remove control" in the menu. Still......
