Input/Output Assignment for Addictive Drums 2 Tracks Dilemma
Good day, Community
I am trying to use the Addictive Drums 2 plug-in, and it seems the learning curve is just a weeeeeee bit steeper than I anticipated. So, I've been trying to follow along with a handful of tutorials online, but there's a common point not far into any of them where I start re-tying my noose and get abruptly reminded as to why I've spent thousands of dollars hiring live session drummers for the past decade, give or take.
The problem is surely one that's very easily remedied, although, not very intuitive. Well, every youtube tutorial gets to the point of mapping/naming the AD2 voices/tracks, soon after I pause/apply is when I start getting reeeeeally really ticked-off, because the respective host says to click on INPUT (and just for laughs, I'll include that there is an OUTPUT right there with it). Well, lo and behold, guess what ain't there on MY Sonar X3...!? No INPUT/OUTPUT!!! (I've wrestled with this for far longer than any sane person ought to, and I'm trying really hard not to be facetious here, but, apparently, nobody--at least nobody who's either fluent in lowly layman guttural or who doesn't insist on getting to their local corner store in Cleveland, by way of Tibet--seems to know that this may be a known thing). Could somebody--anybody--instruct me on precisely how to get these buttons to appear in my AD2 tracks once they populate in Sonar X3. It honestly seems like something that should be as simple as a right-click>show/hide-flavored thing, but it just isn't.
I just want to be able to, in track view, expand my kick or snare or HH and see those two buttons, "INPUT" & "OUTPUT," that's all. Somebody lead me there, and I'm almost certain I'll be able to start formulating the means of redeeming that portion of my Soul that I have surely seen condemned to Hades this very day.
Thank you for your time and attention.
