i have been using SONAR every day mostly, full time with overtime until i pass out tired about every day. SSI keeps me afloat, thank you . Today, i was doing microsoft windows ten downloads and installs , new windows 10 update is like a complete new installer package. and two weeks ago i purchased a new phone,.
oct core with2GBytes of ddr3 memory,. (a phone!!) the phone is my hook up to cakewalk.com. on my old phone, it hurt my face around my eyes to look at the screen, specially white colors, some kind of radiation coming out of the screen .
white is about the fastest color too, as far as bit rate goes,. i use inverted colors nowadays and i can see everything clearly. so the new phone has a usb cable hook up allows me to see the phone screen on my computer display, and i have been able to actually see SONARS web site,., cakewalks webs site,., on my phone. tho it is being displayed on a 42 inch panel. i finally found out how to download SONAR updates to my phone,. This way, i can move the files from my phone to my computer and do the installs witout being connected ,. when i connect my machine directly to the internet,. the internet carrier only allows me to pass, either receive or send ,a certain amount of data, and it seems every month i would use up the full amount of data and have not finished microsoft updates. theyll allow me more data if i pay the price,. i dont like that paying extra as it is supposed to be unlimited,
it is unlimited when i download to my phone, but if i download to my computer via phone, that is, to use the phone port as a gate way to the internet for my computer , thats when my phones carrier starts counting bytes.
so i had a flakey usb cable too, and it seemed like i could never keep a connection up , only after i would bend the cable a certain way would it work properly, hey, im on a low budget here,. and yet i find a way to come up with enuf to purchase an instrument here and there ,. i have 3 new usb phone cables paid for and being shipped now,. and i wasnt sure it was a cable that was the issue,.
it was intermittent, works sometimes and breaks for a millisecond here and there, enuf to corrupt the download.., new phone, new cable.no troubles now, and can finally see the view of cakewalks web address on my big screen, thats a large difference.
Even with the new phone,. when i can see the screen,
i only can see about one third of the width of cakewalks web site on my phone
and i have to drag it around to see what is on the rite side of the screen
back and forth between
left side + rite side,.
so anyway,. like i say, I found a way to get downloads sent to my phones storage where i can move them to my computer via usb cable hookup at a later time, that doesn't subtract any of my allowed data. i think i may have used most of this months data allready doing microsoft updates, im not sure if they too have a way to download files to my phone too, where i can install them later on. i may look around on microsofts web site a bit more carefully later on when im not using SONAR which isnt very often, i allways have work to do ,.
the fly out panel of quad curve eq of pro channel is so outstanding,. i have been using it on every note, one at a time checking for open strings vibrating in the background,. electric guitars are so sensitive once 40 dB of gain is applied,. 50 dB,. somewhere around there.,.any motion of the guitar at all causes the strings to move and vibrate,.,. setting my fingers on them to hold them helps, however, i cant keep my hands from moving some small tiny little bit,.my heart beat has been known to show up on the meters of SONAR, the pulse of blood in my fingers showing on the dB meters of SONAR. Ever since the quad curve equalizer fly out panel was released by our friends at SONAR , not rite way, ever since I learned that it has a spectrum analyzer built in the background that works very well, i have seeing open strings sounding along with the intended notes,. i have the music on staff, that helps, even if it is a jam, it is possilbe now to get a staff print out of what was done, using the VST3 effect of SONAR with ARA,. random access ,. loads the whole track in to memory the way i undestand,. Melodyne essential,. i havent used it often, i did try it out tho and it works very well, with no lag time, , fast.,.
i can see every note on the staff if i was jamming electric guitar tracks,.
awsome,. so , the point is, i keep the notes on the staff view where i can see what note it is and the note that was prior. often.
If the note was any note that has an associtaed open string ,. specific, E, A, D, G, B, should i fret any of those notes anywhere on the neck on another string,.
that string usually starts vibrating without me touching it.
and it is hard to stop the vibration sometimes when im trying to read notes and concentrate on the staff view,. sometimes, it isnt possible to stop the string in the small amount of time from one note to the next,. which speaking of staff, i would like to see something other then brite white background listed in colors someday,. white is hard on the eye balls why,.the only reason why.
so when the note or open string continues to vibrate all thru the next few notes,
it can mess up a harmony , they are not usually as loud as the fundament tone,. and i have been using tracks like that for years, but now, since i have had access to quad curve equalizers spectrum anayzer,. ,and since i have learned that by using a few instantations of eq if neceassry, i can remove most if not all of the open string sounds,. have to be careful to not use too much eq,. that tends to distort the sounds somewhat. looks worse then they sound tho,. they sound good even when i take out a lot of any given frequency , and i certanly have enuf equalizers thanks to SONAR,. and the newly released linear phase models that just came out, they too have spectrum analyzers., tho i prefer using the quad curve eq with the piano shown along to top edge, making it easy to see the note name of any freq that appears, i have been seeing 10 harmonics detailed, and up to 16 harmonics have been visible from sounding a string,.
i set SONAR to return to the cursor on stop, then, set the cursor to an area between notes and hit play and then stop real fast a few times and i can get a good reading on what is usually going to be sounding at the same time as the next note,. and i can adjust the various bands on the eq while hitting play stop play stop play stop over and over and checking and rechecking and i tell you have been really happy with the reulsts when it is done, it takes too long , but so , it is only my life time,. as short as life seems to be, maybe i shud be working at trying to extend human life,. well if a person feels good that can help them live longer,.
not allways in case of harmful substancces, however music never hurt anybody unless they turned up too loud for too long,
I allways listen to the voulme as low as possible,.
our ears have thse tiny little hairs growing inside of a thing that looks like snail,.

first thing in the music book is a picture of the inside of a damaged ear magnified with a caption saying the damage doesnt repair itself too well,
the hairs are , many of them totally gone,in that refernced picture ,.
Audio in Media, the book,. so, I take care of my ears by not listening to music too loud ,. our govenrment has been kind enuf to publish safe listening levels if your lucky neuf to have a known refernce signal or a decibel meter that you can use to measure the sound pressure levels in the room where your working, im wearing headphones tho, so i have to kind of guess,. keep it as low as i can,.
so, i mainly just wanted to say thanks to everybody at SONAR,. good job as usual,.
i have had a few troubles over the years (11) but i have allways been able to find a work around without calling support or anything like that.
there is plenty of information in the help files.
many things have been my own fault,
operator error and some of them have been due to crashes and machine quarks due to i dont know what ,if i knew,i would have it repaired so I would never have any crashes or blue screens,. I have them , we'll see if this new install of windows 10 helps, most likely, it is going to help
updates are good,. thing is, i normally do not use SONAR when im running the operating system on this drive here,. this is the drive i use when im on line visting strange new worlds where i never know what kind of creatures are out there,. one time my machine was attacked while using windows 7 ,. (and i dont mean american telephone and telegraph acknowledgement either) a flash notice came up saying a hacker has accessed my credit card nad personal info,. i was like ,.,.aww,. man,.,.,i dont have any credit cards tho,. so windows ten patched up the hole,. and the address where i picked it up found it and removed it from their system, that was a year ago now, something like that,.
so thats all, ,. im going off line now,.
and I'm going to install the new update from SONAR. it is lasts months version.
then,. after that,. get back to work on this project, one note at a time.(i typed this using my computer keyboard but CAKEWALK.COM is up on my phone,. not the same as typing when accessing cakewalk.com directly from the computer with a direct line connection, however it does work,. noticable lag, this is a kind of long few words)
