I'm not crazy about the low vocals in the verses... I'd be tempted to Melodyne them a bit, maybe double/triple track them, or even try doubling with a higher falsetto part? But they do kick in nicely for the rest of the tune, much stronger. Also, the lower harmony on the post-chorus Allelujahs sounds a little flat (I think) or maybe it's the way the notes blend with the main line. The higher part sounds pretty good with it. Vocals aside, the mix seems to work for the genre. Edit: I meant to add... that is a catchy chorus. I think it was still going through my head about ten minutes later.

Good song - specially the chorus - love the harmonies. The verse vocal is too quiet.

My first impression of the vocal was Oh! wrong key?, but then it sounds right for the chorus but what would I know.
Mix seems OK other than the low vocal in the verse, which to me also sounds a little dry, again what would I know.

Nice song guys. I kind of feel the same about the verse vocal as Steve. Chorus is the stuff.

Seems you're getting a consensus here, the chorus really lifts off but the verses aren't living up to it.

Nice Overall Energy , a couple of things as mentioned need a little TLC . I certainly like when the vocals are being belted out ...also enjoyed the bands musical change up at around 2:36 I wasn't expecting that musical transition . It was like a Yin & Yang thing . I thought it fit the song well all the best, Kenny

As a song the arrangement and tune are well conceived. However, like others have said I would certainly look at the tuning of the vocals in the verses as there's something not quite write there.

Cool song and catchy tune. It felt like the vox in the chorus were a bit too far out front even for Praise and Worship, especially the second half. That's the only thing I would change.

Reece, I've heard quite a bit of your music over the years, so I'm going to use that as the context of this review. I'm not sure this is ready for prime time when compared to your past achievements. What I'm missing is nuance in regard to the overall dynamics of the piece. I'm not sure if the arrangement lives up to the message. Having said that, don't give up on this song, as I'm sure this song won't give up on you.

Hey Reece, Lynn makes a good point: It's a nice song, but.... I think for one thing the chorus vocals feel a little too hot to me... maybe too much compression. Also, Mike's little guitar break could definitely come up quite a bit. Keep at it though as I think the song's a keeper.

Great, thank you for the feedback, Dave! I'll certainly look at the levels of the lead vox.

Reece - nice tune - love the message. All the playing is exceptional - vocals are great - but, I do think the mix is a bit up front - a bit in your face - needs a bit of reverb, or something.

Reece, I meant that the vocal arrangement could use a little change. Perhaps, make one voice the main vocal and back off on the other vocals a bit. A little subtlety goes a long ways. You've been very good at this in your previous songs, so take a look at one of them and reapply as needed.

Hi Lynn, thanks for your feedback, I do truly appreciate it! the first version I released had the lead vocal ONLY on the verses singing that same octave low vocal but by itself. replies above suggested I do something to make the verse vocal beefier, easier to hear and understand. I didn't want to sing it again in the higher register because i wanted the higher contrast between the verse and chorus. so I took the suggestions above to add the other voices at a lower volume, but singing unison (actually octave higher melody). the result was well received by most, but it seems that's what you are not caring for in this version. so...long story but I think I like it like this version instead of the previous version or changing it completely. however, I do appreciate your feedback very much and will take it into consideration for anything else in the future. thanks again!

Thanks to all for your input on this song. The suggestions have been excellent and I agree with Reece, have brought improvement to the song. We will be playing this song live next Saturday at a Song Writing conference in Grapevine and we are eager to hear the reactions.
