Post Apocolyptic movies/series

I like this genre as a general rule, but one thing they all share that drives me crazy is the lack of value they seem to place on wimmins.
 
I think this aspect is both wrong and unrealistic.

    I haven't seen many but The Walking Dead has some very strong female characters.
     
    ...and I do have a bit of an old-bloke crush on Michonne...

    Maybe this is the reason so many wimmins are fans of TWD.  I only see bits/pieces of TWD over the top of my Kindle when SWMBO watches it.

    Try Luc Besson's 'Le Dernier Combat' 'The Last Battle', plenty of value placed on wummin because there's hardly any left!
