Indeed. That is quite the gas cloud behind it.

Mine doesn't have any color.

But it does have +1 PU compared to udder Ric's.

Ha, I've got Paul's book.  Excellent book and great suggestion.  Luv the turquoise colored Ric's in that book.

LOL! Actually when I first owned the Rick I already did own the 361 bass amp. That was what I played my P-Bass and then my EB3 into.

michaelhansonThat's the one I want Drew. Probably maple glo or fire glo...only because eyes already gots a jet.

I actually would prefer fire glo - the jet glo was just because I found a nice one at a nice price. So I'm jealous of Mr. Bapu. And the rare Tuxedo white is one of my dream basses, but it's doubtful they'll ever make any more of them.

Mine is actually a late '90's 4001V63, which is a bit different from some of the other "S" or vintage models. The current 4003S seems to only have the the mono output and the cosmetic differences (no binding, dot inlays), but the 4001V63 also has the toaster PU in the neck and the closer-to-the-neck PU positioning, which is at least different though not necessarily better. And oddly, I'm not sure if any of them have/had the bass cut cap on the bridge PU, though it's a really easy mod.

But Ric is a quirky company.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

I was in a band in the 90s with a guy who had a white one with black hardware and pickguard. It was pretty nice looking.

One of our old forum mates, ModBod (Gatortraks) has the white with black plastic/ hardware.  I also like the Maurice Gibbs all white from Paul's book.

I was trying to remember who it was here that had one.
