"This is still a concept at the moment - company founder Uli Behringer says that he’s revealing his plans now to gauge feedback so that he can decide whether to move forward to the prototype stage. If he does bring it to market, Behringer says that his target price is around $400."

Sounds interesting... Only thing that puts me off is Behringer's slightly flakey quality. I had their digital MIDI mixer (gave it to a nephew last year) and for a while it had stopped working, but then decided to fix itself.

Usually their quality isn't too bad, though that's obviously one of the two ways they keep the price cheap (the other being no R&D costs, just a little reverse engineering!).

Of all their products, the one I hear the most negative comments about IS their mixers.  Things like channels bleeding into each other or one will stop working.  The few things I've had from them have worked perfectly (headphone amp, feedback destroyer, etc.).

My mixer works as expected, tho the USB drivers in Win10 can be a bit flakey since they haven't updated them yet.
