Voxengo SPAN is my #1 metering tool, followed by iZotope's Insight and Meldaproduction's MMultiAnalyzer. I also use Adobe Audition for amplitude stats on mastered mixes.

To top it off - of all the metering plugins Brainworx bx_meter is my favorite and a joy to use.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I use the Klanghelm VUMT for VU metering. It works great and it's only like $29.

Thanks for all the great insight. Has anyone used LEVELS Metering by Mastering The Mix? It looked good but never used meters like this to mix besides to see if I was peaking. I went by my ears this whole time and feel like I've been missing out.

in addition to some of the other things already mentioned, I'm using this on the master to remove a bit of "heat"

I took a close look at it when it first came out, but found it confusing and felt it didn't provide any information not already available via conventional metering. It's possible I just missed the point of it, which seems predicated on the assumption that presenting information in a novel way will somehow increase its usefulness.

In the March email from PluginAlliance if you own some of their plugins. And if you own more than some, it's $50.

I remember trying T-Racks like 10 years ago and really liking it, and that was before it had all the goodies that it has now. That T-Racks Max looks like it could be really cool to have.
