Look for JBL speakers at Costco for $199. Of course, they'll be made of plastic in China, but they'll still have the JBL name on them. I think I'd better buy those AKG K712 headphones I've been lusting after, while they're still made in Austria, er, Slovenia.

Time will tell.  I happen to have a lot of respect for Samsung based on the Samsung branded gear I own.

Well, except for that POS "Smart" BR player.  The app side of that thing is a major turd.  The up side is that it caused me to get a Roku.  I love my Roku boxes.

Samsung is a huge company with lots of products, so naturally some will be better than others. When I say "huge" it's hard to imagine how big they really are, as there are few companies on the planet as big. And family-owned, too.

If you live in Korea, chances are your refrigerator is a Samsung, and if you go to a hospital it'll likely be a Samsung hospital and you'll pay for the visit via your Samsung insurance policy. Visit Korea and you may go to one of the Samsung theme parks.

Even if you're not in Korea, your Samsung TV probably came to your country on a Samsung freighter. Your computer has hundreds of Samsung components in it. Samsung built the Burj Khalifa that Tom Cruise hung from in Mission Impossible.

Samsung represents 17% of Korea's entire GDP and 20% of its exports. When their cell phones started blowing up, it resulted in a significant drop in the country's economy.

Is this good for consumers? Well, was it good for entertainment when Sony gobbled up most of that entire industry?

Korea is probably the only place where Sun Park is both a person and a location.

Based on my experience with our Samsung allegedly Smart TV, this can't be good.

Does this mean the CIA will now be eavesdropping on conversations via your jbl monitors?

Sonar Platinum - Windows 10 Pro 64bit - AMD FX 8150 processor - 16Gb RAM - 27" Monitor (it's not the size that counts, it's what you do with it)
