Bus latency when using 2x upsampling

Hello!

I have a parallel compression aux bus set up in my project, and the plugin inserted here (Slate VMR) has upsampling enabled at both render and playback. If I have 2x upsampling enabled in the control bar, there is a notable latency between the audio track and the aux bus track that the track is being sent to in parallel. If I turn off 2x upsampling in the control bar, all is normal. Has anyone got any ideas, or solutions to this?

Latency is also hearable in the rendered track.

Thanks!

If I turn off oversampling in the plugin itself in the aux bus, latency goes away. If I turn it back on, latency is there again.

Can anyone try to reproduce this? Steps:

    1. On a track, make a send to an aux bus.
    2. Insert compressor on aux bus.
    3. Turn on upsampling on render and playback in the plugin window, as well as enable "2x" in the mix-module in the control bar.
    4. The aux bus would now have slight latency compared to the original track, for me. Turn on and off the plugin in the aux bus. The latency goes away when I turn the plugin off in the FX bin.

I've tried with all the compressors I have, and it happens with all of them. Hope someone can chime in. Tell me if something is unclear in my description.

BTW, newest SONAR version is installed (february update), SPLAT, Windows 10.

    You're lucky.

When I try to reproduce your problem, Sonar hangs when I press space bar.

    Track 1: Z3ta+ 2
Track 2: Aux send from track 1, Sonitus Compressor,  Upsampling enable in both playback and render.
    2x enabled in mix-module.

I would never think of using the 2x upsampling for real-time playback, just for freezing a track.
    That's just me though.

The same latency is audible at rendered tracks, so it doesn't work either way with 2x enabled.

What I meant is that I would never enable 2x upsampling on anything on a bus, only on tracks and then freeze them.

I can confirm that the bug is still there. I am running Vienna instruments VSTI and aux for parallel compression. When I use plugin with no upsampling everything works but whenever I use UAD plugin there is latency. No matter if I turn 2x upsample in sonar On or OFF

    From Cakewalk support:
"We're currently investigating issues related to parallel compression, so this has been logged with development."
