Anyone seen Arrival yet? [may contain spoilers, especially for Abba fans]

I watched it last night. I thought it was a cool sci-fi movie, different to a lot of stuff in the same genre.

A pity it didn't win more awards than the ones it received for its sound (which was awesome)

Is it a departure from the usual Sci-Fi movies?

It gets criticised, apparently, for being slow. Which is bollocks. It's not really an action movie, like some sci-fi stuff. It's more of a thinkers movie, if you know what I mean. If anything, I would liken it to the movie 6th sense, in the way that things start to click together. No spoilers of course, and I'll leave it at that

I usually go to Mark Kermode for a balanced review, he liked it a lot;

We saw it at the cinema and quite honestly, were less than impressed.

It was a bit arty-farty if you get my drift.

I was also looking forward to watching Passengers but again, a great idea let down by lots of things.

I saw it and really liked it.  Surprising, as i'm not normally a sci-fi fan.

Although I did prefer the Abba version.  I think that album cover is one of the main reasons I hoped to become a helicopter pilot (the only proper job i've ever wanted, but failed the physical!).

2) slow moving
3) thinkers movie
4) lame movie
5) less than impressed
6) arty farty
7) really like it

(the suspense is killing me.....)
