Experimenting with 2 notes

This track started out as and experiment to see what we could come up with
using pretty much just 2 notes (besides guitar solo) in 2 minutes.
And guess what? We weren't even stoned. Even though it has a stoner rock vibe.

Dan, forgive the pun, but this speaks to me.  King Crimson did a lot with intervals, and that's the vibe I'm getting from this piece.  I think it's a good foundation for something to build on.  It has gravitas, and I'll be waiting to hear if you build this up.  Good luck.

All the best,
Lynn

Hi Dan,

Amazing what you can do with just two notes. You say "experiment" but this is obviously a finished piece, and I like it.

Of course, it's not just two notes that makes this piece interesting... You mix it up well with percussion/timing and vocals.

I think the post title may put Peeps off from listening...

cheers

Yeah, that works, you certainly did a whole lot with very little!

Arms outstretched we salute the dark master.

Across the stage she struts, back and forth to egg on the masses.

With outstretched fingers she cast a mighty spell

Darkness descends, into pitch black caverns, and stumbling, we fall to our knees.

"Yes" we shout.  "Yes,"

and obey we do again

Nice\\

ps, you have inspired me to compose a piece with only one note, and I mean that in only the best way possible

It started out as just a jam at rehearsal and usually went for 6-8 minutes.
We used that push and pull, tension and release type stuff to keep it somewhat interesting.
Thanks for all the great comments guys. Much appreciated!

Certainly feels like it works, it is almost like a prelude.

Maybe it started out as an experiment, but it doesn't sound like one now.

With the spoken word piece placed over the top and maybe the title, I got a slight Operation Mindcrime vibe from this...
