RESOLVED Erratic SPLAT plug in behavior. Sometimes all mine are there and sometimes not!

I added two plugs today and got them to show up. Then I went to another project and "half" my plugs are not showing up, no PSP, IK, and others.
      Then I'll try another project and they are all there, though that happens much less often.
When there aren't as many as there should be, the categories are reduced/limited, compared to "normal".
      Anybody?

    Did you try a rescan yet?

    Yep, thanks. Several times. It seems "fine" now. I didn't try reset, however, so thanks for the link and "refresher".
    The Scan stopped/shut itself down on one of the tries, though it hasn't the last couple.
    I'll follow the link's steps and see how it goes. I assumed hitting rescan was "good enough" and appreciate learning that there's more.

    So, after running the VST Scan a few times, everything has "normalized and settled down". All is well, kind of like spaghetti tasting better after the noodles get used to the sauce! LOL

    I had this problem. The upgrade adds unnecessary scan file paths upon upgrade causing problems. One example is a subfolder path gets added when there is already a folder above. Another example is paths I previously deleted come back. I removed all of them from registry as it does not totally disappear even after deleting in Sonar preferences, and hope it does not happen again. I will know next month.
